Accepted Answer

Yes, I produce custom replacement parts for various applications using 3D printing. Feel free to bring me a design file (e.g., STL, STEP) or the physical part itself. I’ll measure it, design it, or scan it digitally, and then print it. The maximum print volume is 500 × 500 × 500 mm.

Can you also just create 3D scans without producing a 3D print from them?

Accepted Answer

Yes! I also scan objects without printing them afterward—for example, for digital models or analyses. With the 3DMakerPro Moose Lite 3D scanner, you’ll get precise data in the format of your choice (e.g., STL, OBJ). However, the scanner reaches its limits when scanning very small objects.

I need a 3D print. What do you need from me?

Ideally, please provide me with an STL file or a link to a 3D modeling platform (e.g., Thingiverse, Cults3D, etc.) if the desired object has already been digitized.No problem if there’s no file!Just bring the physical object to me—I’ll scan it, measure it digitally, and prepare it for 3D printing. However, the scanner has its limitations when it comes to very small objects. Therefore, smaller pieces of jewelry or components would need to be reconstructed by hand by me, if possible.

What 3D printing processes are used?

I work with Fused Deposition Modeling—also known as FDM. It is a 3D printing process in which thermoplastic materials are melted and deposited layer by layer through an extruder (much like a hot glue gun) to create a three-dimensional object. It is a cost-effective and widely used technology that is often employed for prototyping and model making.

Can I return a 3D-printed item?

Custom-made 3D prints are not eligible for return. I make a point of communicating closely with my customers from the outset and involving them in the process from start to finish, so that their requirements are met and there are no “unpleasant surprises” at the end. Products ordered from my Etsy shop are eligible for return within 14 days. The customer is responsible for shipping costs.
